Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims & Assumption of Risk

1. I acknowledge that attending the McFarlane Fly-In involves inherent risks, including but not limited to risks associated with aircraft operations, ground handling, weather conditions, terrain hazards, and other aviation-related activities.
2. I voluntarily assume all risks of injury, illness, damage, or loss that may result from my participation in this event, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.
3. I hereby release, waive, and discharge the McFarlane family, property owners, event organizers, volunteers, and their respective heirs, agents, and representatives from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising from my participation.
4. I am solely responsible for the airworthiness and safe operation of any aircraft I bring to this event. I certify that my aircraft is properly maintained, insured, and that I hold a valid pilot certificate and medical (if required).
5. I agree to comply with all FAA regulations, event rules, and field procedures, including the published traffic pattern and radio frequencies.
6. I understand that McFarlane Field is a private, unimproved sod runway with known hazards including a center levy, irrigation valve, gopher mounds, and variable runway width.
7. I acknowledge that this is a private, invitation-only event and I will not share event details without family approval.
8. I agree to hold harmless all parties mentioned above from any claims by my passengers, guests, or family members.
9. I consent to emergency medical treatment if I am unable to give consent at the time treatment is required.
10. I have read this release, understand its terms, and sign it voluntarily and of my own free will.
